“All my babies come early” says mom, Rosemarie Harry

Seven pound, two ounce Wyatt Louie was in a hurry to make his way into the world and arrived at Cowichan District Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 3.

His mom, Rosemarie Harry, said her son was expected to make his appearance on Sunday, Jan. 21 but “my babies always come early.”

Little Wyatt is the heaviest of her five children by one ounce.

As might be expected, since it wasn’t her first child, Harry wasn’t too long in hospital before she gave birth. She arrived at the hospital “about 11:30 a.m. and it was 2:17 p.m. when I had him.”

Her labour had started at home so she knew she had to get to CDH quickly.

Harry already knew her baby would be a boy. When the couple first discovered at 22 weeks into the pregnancy that a boy was expected, her partner, Clint Louie, was in a mood for celebration.

“My boys and my partner had a surprise party for me when we found out he was going to be a boy. They named him then,” she said.

Her other children are Judith Louie, (one and a half years old); Harley-Rose Louie, (two and a half years old); Hector Harry, (five years old); and Christopher Charlie, (eight years old).

“Wyatt will be my last, though,” she said.
