From area newcomers to longtime favourites, Lake Cowichan artists show their stuff

A display of photographs celebrating Lake Cowichan’s 75th anniversary are part of the celebrations of Heritage Days.

A steady stream of visitors enjoyed the three-day Kaatza Art Group show and sale, held as part of Lake Cowichan’s Heritage Days during the long weekend.

The Lake Cowichan 75th and Beyond photography exhibit also drew lots of interest from the public.

The people’s choice awards for the best pictures are: first place: Ed Ufnal: ‘Trestle to Duck Pond’; second place: Sandy Cumming: ‘Trestle in Winter’; third place: Marcel Comeau: ‘Exploring the Cowichan River; and an Honorary Mention goes to Mallory Marrs.
