A Walk to Remember is the new name of the former Walk for Hospice, but the popular event, organized by Cowichan Hospice is at the same time and the same place as usual this year.

That means on Sunday, May 7 you can join many others for a one or three kilometre walk through the forest at Providence Farm or a stroll through a labyrinth.

Remember a loved one who has died or simply walk to enjoy the fresh air and scenery.

Pledge collecting is no longer required for this event but if you wish to continue the practice contact Mackenzie.cvhs@shaw.ca for a pledge sheet. Donations are gratefully accepted and light refreshments are available.

Cowichan Hospice provides emotional support and information to individuals and their families dealing with advancing illness and grief. Kim Andersson shares her experience: “For my mom and I both, Cowichan Hospice was monumental in helping us cope with anticipatory grief and the palliative care process. I know our involvement with Cowichan Hospice brought her peace and ensured I was able to be the best caregiver I could ever be, right to the end of her journey.”
