The annual Island Star Party takes place Friday, Aug. 5 at 4 p.m. to Sunday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. this year. The Cowichan Valley Starfinders Astronomy Club’s 21st event is scheduled for Bright Angel Park and will feature nature tours, guest speakers, door prizes and of course, viewing through a range of telescopes.
