Cowichan Green Community’s KinPark Kid’s Camp is ready to go from June 27 to Sept. 2.

It will run weekdays from 9 a.m. to  4:30 p.m. at Kinsmen Part in Duncan.

Activities will focus on sustainability, the environment, teamwork, and community building. Kids can learn how to grow, cook and eat fresh local food, explore nature, plants and bees, make crafts, play in the park, and make friends.

“Every summer we get the opportunity to meet some incredibly smart children with an array of skills and talents, who also become quite the gardeners,” said Alyssa Loucks, KinPark Kid’s Camp counsellor. “Our campers also use their skills to create yummy recipes in the kitchen, like green tomato pies, zucchini muffins, and even can their own pickles!”

This day camp for children ages six to 12. Cost is $125 per week. For more information contact 250-748-8506 or email camp@cowichangreencommunity.org
