Chemainus’s Little Town Christmas takes place Saturday, Dec. 17 this year, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Following a couple of years of really inclement weather — one year a fierce wind threatened to lift the outdoor tents right off the ground — organizers have moved the event indoors to the Chemainus Royal Canadian Legion hall.
The family fun is the same as ever, with a donut eating contest, holiday crafts, hot dogs and hot chocolate, the Chemainus Community Band, and games galore and lots of prizes.
There’s even a raffle with prizes like a night at Tigh-Na-Mara, a framed E.J. Hughes print, and tickets for two to the Chemainus Theatre.
Don’t forget: Santa arrives at 3:30 p.m. and the raffle draw is at 4 p.m.
