The second annual Celebrating Water Festival was held at Saywell Park in downtown Lake Cowichan on July 20.
Hosted by the Cowichan Lake and River Stewardship Society with the theme this year of “Weir all Connected”, the event was intended primarily to promote water conversation, environmental stewardship, and provide information on Cowichan Lake, Cowichan River and the watershed.
This year’s festival was also a celebration of the significant steps forward that have been taken towards the building of a new weir on Cowichan Lake.
