PHOTO GALLERY: Garden tour a hit with Cowichan plant-lovers

Six gardens were on the agenda

The weather wasn’t as warm as the week prededing the event, but hundreds of people donned sweaters and light jackets and headed out Sunday, May 12, on the 25th Annual Cowichan Family Life Garden Tour.

Six gardens were on the agenda and they didn’t disappoint, ranging from surprising city lots to vast acreages. There was something for everyone, as the rhododendrons were in full bloom, with clematis and other favourites just starting to peek out.

A tea at one of the gardens, served by Vancouver Island University students, was well-received, as was the musical entertainment.
