Santa Parade a big hit with Ladysmith locals

Santa and Mrs. Claus meet families along the way

A community highlight, just days before Christmas, is the annual Ladysmith Fire/Rescue department’s Santa Parade.

Sunday, Dec. 21 saw a few department vehicles along with volunteers from the department escort Santa and Mrs. Claus to various locations throughout Ladysmith so children of all ages could have a visit with them. The couple’s first stop was at Kinsmen Park, where people got the chance to sit with the famous couple and tell them their wishes for Christmas Day.

To make sure that the local firefighting apparatus is available for emergencies local company Coastal Trucking, supplies the vehicles and stages for the local fire/rescue departments annual Santa Claus Parade.

The company outfitted its transports in festive Christmas decor and drove Mr. and Mrs. Claus to a half dozen stops throughout Ladysmith to greet children and families on the Sunday before Christmas.
