We hoped that people would have learned from 2020
It is not an easy problem to deal with, or an easy momentum to slow and reverse.
Have we learned anything?
The rules are inconsistent with our other public health orders.
Your lungs and the lungs of all of us here in Cowichan, will thank you for it
These circles effectively slow people down through danger zones, but don’t back up vehicles
These are thorny, and increasingly urgent issues
There is no one perfect, shining thing that is going to fix our myriad problems
Housing identified as the area’s biggest priority
We’ve been contacted by a lot of people lately who seem really, really angry
Voting is a responsibility
People don’t want it in their neighbourhoods
Had our officials not done something they would have been negligent
Some facilities are necessary to our lives, but, well, they stink
Riverfront property owners shouldn’t have to clean up after hooligans
It should be seen as only the smallest of sacrifices not to be able to wash your car or house
Why? Because we love to watch them and dream
Nowhere is that more evident than when we look at the problems we’re having with invasive species
Increasingly, when it comes to water, we are feast or famine
