Coming up this Friday, June 3, at Brentwood College is Concert for a Summer’s Eve.

The show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. in the T. Gil Bunch Centre for the Performing Arts, will feature Brentwood’s award-winning instrumental and vocal ensembles.

The concert is also a fundraiser for Monday Morning Music, a program for special needs people in the Cowichan Valley, as well as bursaries for special needs graduates from high schools in the Cowichan Valley.

Admission is $10 a ticket. Get them online at theatre.brentwood.bc.ca or at the door in the hour before the show.

The Mercury Players is looking for singers from eight to 80.

Auditions for Give My Regards to Broadway are coming up on Thursday, June 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mercury Theatre in Duncan.

Give My Regards to Broadway is a musical revue with drama, dance and comedy from some of Broadway’s best-loved shows including South Pacific, Oliver, Oklahoma, Les Miserables, Cinderella and more.

So warm up those vocal cords and dust off your sheet music.

The Cowichan Valley Arts Council is hosting a free weekly drop-in art session for teenagers every Thursday until June 16.

The sessions take place at the CVAC studio, which is located in the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

This is a chance for teens to share their art with others and explore new art mediums under the direction of an art leader.
