The Mercury Players will be holding auditions for their upcoming production of Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling. The play centres around a young beautician who arrives in a small town in Louisiana and becomes friends with a tight-knit group of local women.
Performance dates will be May 25 to June 4 (eight shows). Auditions for Steel Magnolias will be held Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Mercury Theatre located at 331 Brae Rd. in Duncan. There are six roles for females ranging in age from 19 to 66. Callbacks take place Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
