It was an exciting romp through Munchkinland and more last weekend as the youthful cast of Chalkboard Theatre’s blockbuster musical, The Wizard of Oz, took to the stage at the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre for two big shows.
Theatregoers were awed at the way everyone from the talented lead characters to the youngest folks stepped up to the plate and put in endearing but surprisingly professional performances, singing and dancing up a storm as the story of Dorothy from Kansas wound its way along the Yellow Brick Road to its happy conclusion.
