The Bard has a special place in the hearts of most actors, and now is your chance to take a role written by the most famous playwright in the English language.

The Shawnigan Players are holding auditions next week for their 2022 Cowichan Valley Shakespeare Festival, which is entering its 11th year.

In 2022 it’s a “gripping tale of romance and war”, with Cymbeline, directed by Alex Gallacher.

Auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the Clements Centre in Duncan.

The production will hit the stage (usually outdoors in a pastoral setting) on Aug. 4 to 14, with rehearsals running from April through July.

There are roles available for all ages, and everyone is welcome to audition.
