VIDEO: Traditional Highland dancing showcased in Cowichan in ‘Scottish Pride’

Kathy White Island Highland Dance Academy presents year end show

A combination of traditional and modern takes on Highland dancing took the audience on a brief journey to Scotland Saturday night, June 22 as the Kathy White Dancers performed at Duncan’s Christian Reformed Church.

The show, entitled Scottish Pride, featured all levels of dancing from tiny beginners to polished adult performers and such favourite songs as ‘Blue Bonnets’, ‘Scotland the Brave’, ‘Cotton Eyed Joe’ and more. The inclusion of the Cowichan Valley Pipes & Drums only added to the atmosphere of the evening with their thrilling music.
