Coming up in Cowichan: Learn about the Koksilah River and watershed

Speaker series to talk Koksilah River

The next presentation in the Cowichan Watershed Board/VIU-Cowichan Speaker Series is coming up on Thursday, Feb. 27.

From 7-8:30 p.m. in the lecture hall at VIU Cowichan Campus (2011 University Way, Duncan) Heather Pritchard will present The Koksilah – Learning our Landscape.

Pritchard is an ecologist and registered professional forester who will present the first phase of work commissioned by the Cowichan Station Area Association’s Koksilah Working Group, “An Ecosystem-Based Analysis of the Koksilah River Watershed.” Her presentation will describe the methodology and findings of the project, focusing on the historical character and current condition of the watershed.
