The Cowichan Bay annual Christmas Sail Past will be held this year on Saturday, Dec. 6 starting at 5 p.m. Boats need to be decorated with Christmas lights and be ready to leave the dock by then.
According to organizers the only way the sail past would be cancelled is if there is stormy weather.
If you are interested in an unusual outdoor seasonal activity, bundle the kids up warmly and take them to Cowichan Bay.
The best views are seen at the government dock or from the hotel or pub nearby.
