The Cowichan Spirit Drummers are holding a Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 29 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Siem Lelum gym.
It's a fundraiser for the Cowichan Aboriginal Film Art Festival as well as for the Cowichan Elders travel fund and features a Christmas lunch, a Loonie Toonie auction and silent auction, a preview film screening of the Malahat Nation Kw'umut Lelum Tribal Journeys 2014 and more, plus of course the Spirit Drummers themselves.
Lunch is at noon by donation and the 25-minute film screening begins at 1:30 p.m.
