Lake Cowichan Christian Fellowship is sponsoring what it hopes will be a first-annual Car Rally Sunday, Jan. 25 from 2-4 p.m. A rally is like a treasure hunt in a car and this year it's all about learning Lake Cowichan history as it applied in the 1950s, '60s and '70s.
It all starts and ends at the church at 10 King George St. but be ready to be sent to unusual locations.
All participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Lake Cowichan food bank. There will be prizes for the winners.
Organizer Pastor Terry Hale is hoping anyone interested will call 250-749-6492 to register.
