Young voices delight audience

The Cowichan Valley Youth Choir wrapped up its 2013/14 season with a concert May 11 at Sylvan United Church.

The brilliant light streaming in the building’s many windows only served to add to the brightness of the music presented by the award winning group.

As director Sheila Johnson smilingly pointed out to the capacity crowd, the show offered the chance to possibly hear some young male singers for the last time as trebles before their voices began to change.

One thing that never changes in this moveable feast is the quality of the music, with the young performers providing super examples to the audience of just what can be achieved when you practise hard, memorize your words and watch your director like hawks.
