Special Olympics BC - Cowichan Valley has received a $5,000 donation from the Duncan Lions Club and the contribution will directly support local athletes with intellectual disabilities by funding sports programs, training, and competition opportunities, including helping athletes travel to the Special Olympics BC Summer Games in July 2025.
“This donation will make a significant difference in the lives of our athletes, providing them with the resources they need to thrive in sport and in life,” said Stephanie Farrow, volunteer coordinator for Special Olympics BC - Cowichan Valley.
“With the 2025 provincials coming up, these funds will help ensure our athletes have the opportunity to compete at the highest level and represent our community with pride.”
