Whether you're navigating anxiety, healing from trauma, or hoping to strengthen relationships, the counselling team at Purely Wellness offers client-centred support in the Cowichan Valley.

Located in Dakova Square, Purely Wellness is a multi-disciplinary clinic with a whole-body approach to care. “We believe in helping people access the resources they need to thrive physically, mentally and emotionally,” says Michael Gordon, owner and director.

The clinic’s counselling team includes 10 practitioners, each bringing their own unique skills and lived experience to their work with clients.

Among them is Kevin Bradley, RTC, an Indigenous counsellor who specializes in trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse and addictions. A trauma survivor himself, Bradley offers “a compassionate, culturally-grounded approach to recovery.”

For those struggling with emotional patterns and relationship challenges, Dylan Fry, RPC-C, works through the lens of attachment theory. “By exploring your unique relationship patterns and emotional experiences,” Fry says, “I can guide you in identifying the strategies you use to navigate your connections with others.” His work helps clients reframe negative self-perceptions and develop healthier ways to engage with their loved ones.

Clayton Leavitt, RTC-C, combines counselling and coaching to support individuals through life transitions, goal-setting and relationship issues. “With a focus on emotional safety, we’ll uncover strengths and strategies for navigating life’s challenges,” Leavitt says.

Clients dealing with anxiety or life overwhelm may find resonance with Kevin Lowe, RTC, whose practical, grounded approach appeals to those looking for clarity and direction.

“Whether you're carrying the weight of past experiences or navigating present challenges,” Lowe says, “I offer a space to slow down, sort through what matters and move forward with strength.” Lowe offers both in-person and virtual sessions, making his services accessible across British Columbia.

Gordon notes that counselling at Purely Wellness is grounded in empathy, authenticity and a respect for the individuality of each client. “We’re proud of our counselling team and the different paths they offer people seeking mental wellness,” he says.

Purely Wellness also offers a range of other services, including massage therapy, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, skin care and nutrition, all under one roof.
