The team at Duncan’s Old Farm Market will be working on their 'Night Moves' over the next month as they celebrate a successful run in the sixth annual Best of the Valley awards, where they were named the Best Place to Buy Produce in the Cowichan Valley and came in second for the best grocery store overall. To mark the occasion, the Duncan team is launching a 'Night Moves' promotion.
“We’re thrilled with the recognition and can’t thank our loyal customers enough for voting for us,” says store manager Tanya Gorrill. “As a thank you to our community, we’re offering a special ‘Night Moves’ promo, with 25 per cent off produce from 4 p.m. to close every day from Oct. 17 to Nov. 16.”
Gorrill acknowledges that the rising cost of living is a concern for many customers, adding that they are committed to keeping their prices as affordable as possible. “By working closely with local farms and suppliers, we’re able to offer fresh, quality produce at affordable prices.”
It’s been a busy year for the market, which has also welcomed Empire Donuts to its coffee shop lineup, joining other popular options like The Old Farm Market Grill and Zza’s Pizza, both well-loved by locals.
With over 30 years of experience working with local farmers and vendors, the market has established strong relationships with Island suppliers. Helping them keep their shelves stocked with fresh, locally grown produce and Island-made products.
“While we do bring in some produce from off the Island to meet the needs of our shoppers, our focus is always on sourcing from local farms whenever possible,” Gorrill explains.
In addition to serving customers in-store, The Old Farm Market also supplies wholesale produce to local restaurants, offering same-day delivery to ensure fresh, local food makes its way onto restaurant tables and into homes across the Island.
