The Duncan Housing Society is inviting the public to attend a neighbourhood information meeting on Oct. 14 on its controversial renewal project proposal at Duncan Manor.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view the proposed site plan and talk with the project team about the plan to construct a 133-unit affordable rental apartment building for seniors and persons living with disabilities at the site of the current Duncan Manor facility on First Street.

The society submitted a rezoning application to the City of Duncan last month for the project.

The meeting will be held at 325 First Street (Centennial Park) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14.

The society will also host a virtual community consultation meeting on the project on Oct. 18.

The community consultation meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. over Zoom.

People looking to attend the meeting can contact info@wiserprojects.com with the email subject line “DHS Rezoning” and a Zoom link to the meeting will be provided.
