Heavy police presence where road crosses Cowichan River

The bridge over the Cowichan River at Allenby Road was closed to vehicle and foot traffic on Monday afternoon.

The reason for the closure wasn’t immediately available, but there was a heavy police presence at the bridge.

Drivers should find an alternate route.
