On May 2, the Cowichan Valley Citizen printed an article which stated that John L. Harmon was convicted of assault and uttering threats.
This was an error. We hereby retract such statements. In fact, both charges against Mr. Harmon were stayed by the Crown and a Recognisance to Keep the Peace was entered into by Mr. Harmon.
Mr. Harmon was not convicted of any charges.
The Cowichan Valley Citizen unequivocally apologizes to Mr. Harmon for our error.
