Ban on idling vehicles may help

Chemainus – Re: Truck noise Norris Edwards is not the only person in Chemainus with a neighbour who idles his heavy-duty truck next to a bedroom window. This truck spews diesel fumes for at least 20-25 minutes before he takes his daughter to school every morning. He’s back within five to six minutes.

I believe Duncan has or is considering an idling bylaw, but I’ve been told it has nothing to do with Chemainus, it’s up to the roads department who really don’t want to know.

Come on Mayor Lefebure, there can’t be just two of us in Chemainus with this problem.
