COVID outbreak over at Chemainus Health Care Centre’s Harbour Side unit

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Chemainus Health Care Centre’s Harbour Side unit has been declared over.

Island Health reports there have been no new outbreaks.

A total of five residents were attributed to the outbreak at the facility, owned and operated by Island Health.

Island Health commended staff for continuing to deliver high quality and compassionate care while diligently following outbreak protocols.

Outbreak protocols are now ended, but enhanced infection prevention, control measures and monitoring of residents, patients and staff for symptoms will continue.
