Cowichan Aquatic Centre’s gym and fitness centre reopened Jan. 20

Facilities closed in December due to COVID-19

The gym and fitness centre at the Cowichan Aquatic Centre will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 20, following the update of provincial health orders on Tuesday.

Gyms and fitness centres had been closed since Dec. 23 in response to rising COVID-19 rates in B.C.

The new requirements include limits on numbers, and mandatory use of masks by instructors and staff.

Gym and fitness centre patrons may remove masks while exercising.

People 12 and over are still required to show their BC Vaccine Card, along with government ID (for those 19 and older), to access aquatic and fitness centre spaces.
