Cowichan Caps host Critter Toss Friday night

Get your critters ready!

The Cowichan Valley Capitals and Cowichan Sound Cellular are set to host their annual Critter Toss this Friday night as the Caps take on the Victoria Grizzlies at the Island Savings Centre.

Fans are invited to bring a stuffed teddy bear or other animal and throw them on the ice when the team scores its first goal of the game. All toys will be donated to the Salvation Army and distributed to children and families in need.

Fans can bring their own new or gently used toys to the game, or purchase one in the lobby of the Island Savings Centre. Proceeds from toy sales at the game will go to the Cowichan Basket Society food bank.

Friday’s game begins at 7 p.m. The Caps will also play host to the Langley Rivermen on Sunday at 2 p.m.
