Farmers’ market should be part of Duncan Daze

Duncan – worked so hard to provide the Duncan Daze pancake breakfast, for making it a garbage-free event. It was splendid of them to not only raise funds for the food bank but consider the environment as well.

I would also urge the association and the farmers’ market to put their fine minds to use and plan a solution to having the market cancelled for the day of the parade. Surely with goodwill and flexibility a plan that meets the needs of all can be formed. As a member of the food security coalition I hate to see a missed opportunity for many people to support their local food producers.
