Despite the efforts of Maple Bay volunteer firefighters, a home on Thomoson Terrace was destroyed by fire on Wednesday morning.
No one was injured, and the cause was undetermined as of Wednesday afternoon.
The blaze was one of two house fires this week, as a home on Gibbins Road also burned.
