Height of buildings not as important as design

Duncan – It’s a shame our backward thinking city councillors Sharon Jackson, Michelle Staples, and Michelle Bell are blocking development and investment in the City of Duncan.

The lot at the corner of Government Street and Canada Avenue has been an empty eyesore for 25 years.

A five-storey building is a mere 10 feet taller than a four-storey building and many very attractive examples can be seen with a quick trip to Victoria.

I think a more important issue than the height is the design.

I would very much like to see an end to the construction of beige boxes like the new Kenneth Park building and many other buildings in the city.
