As part of the Town of Lake Cowichan's consideration of invessel composting, several ideas have come up for discussion.
These include the need for an onsite visit to look at the operation of these in-vessel units; the need for extensive review and research before committing to purchase; concerns about odour; investigation of the volume of compost available beginning January 2015 and an assessment of the area required for a composting facility. To start the ball rolling, Coun. Bob Day and a town staffer will visit an in-vessel composting facility.
