People take a look at information on the proposed LNG project.

Inside the Kwunew Kwasun Cultural Resource Centre Wednesday night people crowded around informational posters at the first open house hosted by Steelhead LNG and the Malahat First Nation to inform the community about a proposed LNG project for the area.

Outside, a small group of protesters gathered to make known their opposition to the proposed project, which would involve undersea and overland pipelines to and from an LNG liquefaction facility at Bamberton.

Much more public consultation is to come.
