Mobile home up in flames at Duncan RV Park

One patient burned, EHS on scene

A fire at the Duncan RV Park on Saturday afternoon prompted a quick response from the Duncan Volunteer Fire Department.

Within minutes of the call, members arrived at the Boys Road park to find a mobile home on fire. No long thereafter the structure was fully involved.

Paramedics were dispatched to tend to one patient, who was out of the unit by the time fire crews arrived.

A neighbour told the Citizen the occupant of the mobile home was badly burned trying to extinguish the flames themselves.

Another witness said they heard an explosion from their home several kilometres away. Smoke was also seen from afar.

The trailer unit has been destroyed.
