The Unifor Local 2000 union has announced on their website that employees of the Cowichan News Leader Pictorial have voted 100 per cent in favour of strike action.
The step has been taken "in an effort to resolve an impasse in contract negotiations," the website said.
The union says the main issue is wages and the employer's attempt to impose a two-tier wage system.
