North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP looking for owners of huge cache of stolen property: see the list

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP recovered a trove of stolen goods from a Marchmont Road home earlier this month, and are now beginning efforts to return the items to their rightful owners. Many of the items remain unclaimed, and police are hoping owners will come forward. Anyone who believes one or more of the items belongs to them should contact RCMP at 250-748-5522 with a detailed description of the stolen item The list of recovered goods includes: numerous hand tools, including Makita and Milwaukee brands a new electric shaver silverware animal figurines and statues, including a whale statue an iPod dock an SLR Camera crossbows a leaf blower a battery charger a telephone "test set" jewelry, including a Pandora bracelet knives laptops a high-end men's dress watch a pocket bike wall paintings, portraits, antique wall hangings flatscreen TVs a pallet jack a metal dolly/lift truck a commercial grade ladder toolboxes a DVD player a tablet with portable keyboard a camcorder an antique recording device wooden figurines antique vases antique candle holders a German bread maker two-way radios brass figurines an off-road motorcycle More than 30 criminal charges have been laid against Matthew Ditta of Duncan as a result of the search and seizure.
