North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP set to Cram Cruiser

A packed police cruiser often means bad news, but the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment will be thrilled to fill up one of their cars this Saturday.

Auxiliary constables from the detachment will be hosting the annual Cram the Cruiser event this Saturday at the Duncan Wal-

Mart from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., seeking donations of new, unwrapped gifts to help local charities.

"At Christmas time, there are many families in need," RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jon Stuart said. "This is an opportunity to help those that are not as fortunate."

The toys that are collected will be distributed to the Cowichan Basket Society, Salvation Army and Native Friendship Centre.
