One airlifted after crash on TCH outside Duncan

One person was airlifted to hospital following a crash just outside Duncan on Wednesday, April 20.

According to RMCP, at 6:40 p.m. a blue Infiniti G35 attempted to make a left hand turn off of the Trans-Canada Highway onto Koksilah Road, and was hit by a black Dodge Durango travelling south, also on the TCH.

The jaws of life were needed to extract one occupant of the Infiniti, who was then airlifted to hospital in critical condition. One occupant of the Dodge Durango was taken by ground ambulance to hospital in stable condition. In total four paramedic ground crews, two paramedic supervisors and one air ambulance helicopter responded to the crash, according to BC Emergency Health Services.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
