UPDATED: Man dead in Christmas Day shooting in North Vancouver

The Integrated Homicide Investigation team has been called in.

Homicide investigators are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting on Christmas Day in North Vancouver that left one man dead.

Rock Habib-Joumaa, 25, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in a parkade in the 600 block of Seylynn Crescent around 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 25, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said in a news release Wednesday.

Habib-Joumaa did not survive from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

While the investigation is in its earliest stages, police believe the shooting was targeted. Habib-Joumaa was known to police, but did not have a criminal record.

“This shooting violated the tranquility of the holidays,” Cpl. David Lee said in a statement. “There are people out there who knew of Mr. Habib-Joumaa’s activities or have seen the two persons of interests.”
