Proof of address problem with election act

Duncan – This is a response to your Our View opinion column April 23.

I think it’s important that you cover all the facts. You missed an important point, proof of residence, which apparently affects many potential voters.

A few examples are university students living away from home to go to school or persons on the street with no fixed address.

I noticed when a Conservative minister who is in support of these changes omitted this point repeatedly as well when interviewed she had to be reminded of this fact many times during the interview. For some reason this point seems to be forgotten or overlooked.
