Schools not a priority for government

Mill Bay - The public school system doesn't seem to be a high priority for this government, but it's not surprising if you think about it.

Do you think any of our elected officials send their kids to public schools? The premier certainly doesn't, nor do the wealthy and powerful people of the province. Then there are the unfortunate families who can't really afford private school, but have no choice because the public schools can't deal with their kids' special needs. That is not right.I want my tax dollars to go towards a great public school system that's accessible to everyone. Private schools should not be taking public money. Oh yeah, what was all that about families during the election campaign?Yasmeen QureshiMill Bay
