Chemainus - As a resident of North Cowichan I have been following the election campaign with interest. I'm tired of hearing all the complaints about taxes. We have a lot to be grateful for living here and one of them is reasonable taxes, compared to other communities on Vancouver Island.
However, we are too reliant on one industry to pay most of the taxes. I would like to hear specific ideas and plans from candidates about diversifying our economy. How can we make North Cowichan a place that stands out to come and open a business?Maggie Tooker Chemainus
