Speeders are causing carnage on Kingsview Road

Duncan – Today, another animal, this time a young dog, was struck on the road and killed in front of our home on Kingsview Road, in The Properties subdivision.

A witness who saw the incident stated that the driver never stopped.

This is not the first time that an animal has been killed in front of our home and that the driver has fled the scene. About a year ago it was a deer.

I am concerned that next time it will be a child.

Unfortunately, a few drivers that pass through our neighbourhood, treat Kingsview Road as if it were a speedway. This is a residential street and drivers need to be aware of the need to be vigilant and control their speed.

A young dog, tragically, was killed today, let it not be a child tomorrow.
