Stolen items only useful to business

Some Grinches were in action over the Christmas holiday at Safety Kleen on Boys Road.

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP got a report on Dec. 29 of a break and enter at the business, where several items were stolen.

The missing property includes a jacket with the business name and logo on it, and two hand-held scanners, a Motorola MC70 and MC67. "These items have no use outside of the business, and members of the public are encouraged to report if they locate them," said detachment spokesperson Cpl. Jon Stuart.

If anyone has information about this or any other crime, contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). If you provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property or a drug seizure, you could get a cash reward.
