One man was taken to hospital with injuries and a driver faces charges under the Motor Vehicle Act after an incident involving three vehicles on the Trans-Canada Highway in Mill Bay on Saturday.

According to Cpl. Greg Pask of the Shawnigan Lake RCMP, two northbound vehicles were stopped at the traffic lights at the intersection of the highway and Deloume Road when a red Ford Mustang that was either travelling too fast or was unable to brake in time slammed into one car, pushing it forward into the other.

All the drivers and passengers involved suffered non-life-threatening injures.

The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital, while the driver of the Mustang was charged with an MVA infraction. All the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
