VIDEO: Police inspect commercial vehicles on Highway 18

In a driving rain, drivers of commercial vehicles on Highway 18 get a once-over from police.

RCMP commercial vehicle patrollers were out Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the Lake.

They were stopping commercial trucks on Highway 18 near the entrance to Lake Cowichan to give them a once-over and speak to drivers about possible infractions.

As an additional reminder of the need for safe winter driving, they set up right near a sign notifying motorists that the road along the north shore of Cowichan Lake was closed again due to the danger of a slide.
