You can’t just put up whatever you want

Duncan – Over the past few weeks there has been discussion about the cross on Mt. Tzouhalem. Should it be replaced or not?

It does have a place in our history, but that being said, there may be other options for some kind of an icon that will serve as a goal for those of us who hike the mountain.

What does bother me is the cross that has been erected on the blue trail (from the Crofton side) on Maple Mountain. This property is a municipal forest, not a place for vandals to erect whatever they want. Hopefully, the municipality will find the offenders and have them remove this offensive structure.
