Notice is hereby given that Khowutzun Forest Services Limited, licensee for Community Forest Agreement (CFA) K1K, will make a proposed replacement Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) available for public viewing. This FSP has been developed under the Forest and Range Practices Act and the Forest Planning and Practices Regulation. CFA K1K is comprised of one 1673 ha area south of the Cowichan River just downstream from Skutz Falls.
The FSP has a five-year term and contains a map of the CFA along with results and strategies designed to meet legislated forest management objectives for forest management as well as the maintenance and protection of resource values in the plan area.
The plan is available for review prior to the determination of the District Manager of the South Island Natural Resource District and can be made available to interested parties. The plan will be available during regular business hours from March 19, to May 20, 2025 at the Khowutzun Forest Services office located at the Cowichan Tribes Cultural Centre, adjacent to Chances Casino, 200 Cowichan Way, Duncan.
